Vince Young to don Mother Ginger frock for Ballet Austin's 'The Nutcracker'
Oh, Vince Young, you’ll love the dress and makeup. Everybody who ever has taken on the celebrity cameo of Mother Ginger in Ballet Austin’s rendition of “The Nutcracker” has had a crackerjack time.
The University of Texas Longhorns’ “Invincible,” star of the greatest Rose Bowl ever, will play the oversized matron on opening night, 7:30 p.m. Dec. 7, at the Long Center for the Performing Arts.
Other opening weekend notables who will wear the big skirt and big hair while cheering along her Bon Bons, will be Austin Police Chief Brian Manley (2 p.m., Dec. 8); fashion and accessories designer Kendra Scott (7:30 p.m. Dec. 8); and Tiffany Chen, co-founder to Tiff’s Treats (2 p.m. Dec. 9).
