Austin's professional choral group sings parts of 'Considering Matthew Shepard'

If you missed Conspirare perform "Considering Matthew Shepard" on national public television recently, you'll have another chance to catch part of the acclaimed show online this Friday. Austin's professional choir will sing portions of the choral drama, which has toured top venues in the U.S., at the Washington National Cathedral.

The cathedral has set up a live feed for "The Celebration and Interment for Matthew Wayne Shepard" for 9 a.m. CST, Oct. 26.

The occasion is the final interment of Shepard, who was killed in Wyoming. in 1998 and became a symbol of the fight against homophobia and hate crimes. Conspirare Artistic Director Craig Hella Johnson composed the critically lauded piece.
