Austin mom opens ‘American Ninja Warrior’ gym for kids

Does your child have a desire to become America’s next top ninja? He or she will have a chance to practice at Austin Ninja. a new “American Ninja Warrior”-themed gym opening in Austin in January.

Austin Ninjas, a children’s gym with “American Ninja Warrior”-type obstacles located at 6001 West Parmer Ln, #430, is slated to open Jan. 13, with classes starting Jan. 16.

Owner/operator Jennifer Halla and her husband credit a trip to Chicago with their two kids for inspiring in the new gym. 

According to a report on KXAN, the kids couldn’t get enough of the ANW-themed gym and ended up going four times. Halla and her husband decided to open one in Austin.

They will be joined by Damir Okanovic, an Austinite who competed in season 9 of “American Ninja Warriors.” He will train the staff and lead the kids classes.
