For the third night this year, weather has canceled the Austin Trail of Lights in Zilker Park.

From the event’s website: “Cumulative rainfall over Zilker Park’s already saturated grounds has extended the amount of standing water in areas critical to the operation of the Trail of Lights. In order to protect the community’s park land and the safety of event goers, the Austin Parks and Recreation Department closed Zilker Park today, 12/19. Event organizers continue to work diligently to mitigate standing water, and re-open the Trail with a safe and quality experience.”

The Trail was closed Dec. 16 and 17 as well because of rain. People with GA tickets for any of the canceled nights can use them other nights, according to event organizers. Email to exchange Platinum tickets and parking passes.

Tuesday’s movie night at the Trail has been rescheduled for Saturday night, which is also closing night.
