Mack, Jack, McConaughey will return after netting $1 million
The splashiest new entry on the Austin charity circuit will be back next season after netting nearly $1 million for children’s charities.
Back in the spring, Mack, Jack & McConaughey cleverly combined the celebrity of Longhorns coach Mack Brown, country music artist Jack Ingram and movie star Matthew McConaughey for two nights of all-star fun and fundraising, mostly at ACL Live.
It also brought to the table the considerable talents of their wives, Sally Brown, Amy Ingram and Camila Alves. If anybody thinks this giant event came off without their additional charisma and planning skills haven’t met these powerful women.
You read it here first: The conglomerated charity show will return April 24-25, 2014.
Last year’s iteration included a golf tourney, fashion show and a concert that brought to the stage Kris Kristofferson, Guy Clark, Randy Travis, Bruce Robison, Bobby Pinson, Bob Schneider, Hayes Carll, Holly Williams, Radney Foster, Allen Shamblin and Todd Snider.
