Miró Quartet with Michelle Schumann
Each summer, the Austin Chamber Music Festival presents impressive talent from around the world. But on its final weekend, the festival spotlights internationally recognized Austin talent.
The celebrated Miró Quartet — the University of Texas’ string-quartet-in-residence — joins with pianist Michelle Schumann, an Austin favorite and the artistic director of the Austin Chamber Music Festival.
On the program is Elgar’s masterful Piano Quintet, inspired by a peaceful summer the composer spent in the English countryside. Also on the program are works by Schubert, Beethoven and Puccini.
