X Games Austin: Multiple competitions set for final day

BMX, Stadium Super Trucks, skateboard and motocross are on tap Sunday, the final day of X Games Austin at Circuit of the Americas.

The action kicks off at 11 a.m. with the BMX park final in which 12 riders will take on a concrete course that mostly consists of a large bowl. Six riders will advance to the final and a shot at gold.

After that, stadium super trucks will make its X Games debut at 12:30 p.m. at a dirt and asphalt rally course that also features a large jump. The competition features 20 identically prepared 600-horsepower Baja-style trucks vying for a spot in the 16-truck, 10-lap final.

Men and women’s skateboard street competitions take place at 1 and 3 p.m. at a specially designed course made up of obstacles found on city streets such as rails, stairs and even a propane tank.

Motocross freestyle, where 10 riders will perform tricks on a complex dirt course made up of a variety of jumps. The competition was originally scheduled for Saturday evening, but was postponed to 3 p.m. Sunday because of wind.
