X Games Austin: Brazil’s Pedro Barros wins skateboard park

Brazil’s Pedro Barros won the gold medal here Saturday in Skateboard Park.

Fans packed the general admission grand stands around the new skatepark bowl at Circuit of the Americas to catch the action.

Barros scored a 90.66 on his second run through the park. It’s his ninth career X Games medal. Not bad for a 19-year-old.

American’s Grant Taylor and Aaron Homoki were second and third. Taylor scored an 84 on his middle run, while Homoki’s 81 held the lead after the first round.
