Ready to Run, my new favorite running store in Northwest Hills, is launching a training program.

Former RunTex owner Paul Carrozza will head the Born to Run program at the store, 3616 Far West Boulevard. The program is designed to improve power and efficiency, reduce injuries, and prepare runners for distances from a mile to a marathon.

The program costs $75 per month or $200 for three months. The group will meet from 5:45 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays starting Jan. 28. Sessions will include an easy warmup, drills, strides, circuits and intervals, followed by an easy cool down. A progressive endurance run is scheduled for 8 a.m. each Sunday to build aerobic capacity.

Members will also receive recovery day schedules and email access for real time questions and concerns.

An information session is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21. If you can’t make the session but have questions, email paul@runtex.com.
