It looks like DaShaun Johnson’s skin is shrink-wrapped over a set of plastic abdominal muscles, doesn’t it?

The “Guru of Abs” swings through Austin Wednesday, taking a break from what must be a non-stop regimen of core exercises to teach an exercise clinic.

You, too, can have abs like Johnson, a celebrity trainer who works with NFL players and actresses on the VH1 reality show “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta,” and whose motto is “No fat formed against your stomach will prosper.”

Honestly, his abs scare me a little bit, how they’re all ripply, freakishly defined and tattooed with words, names and a picture of a scorpion and a little kid’s head. And look how it says “Bad Time” above his navel. What’s that about?

Anyway, if you like the look he’ll teach you his secrets.

The clinic is scheduled for 7:15-8:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 26 at Royal Fitness Club at Highland Mall, 6001 Airport Boulevard No 2165. Admission is $7 for Greeks, $10 for students, $15 for individuals (discounts for multiples.)
