Bicycles are rolling across France this month, and that means now’s a good time to give away a spanking new copy of “Étape: 20 Great Stages from the Modern Tour de France.”

The book ($18.95, VeloPress), by sports journalist and former competitive cyclist Richard Moore, features the Tour’s biggest legends telling stories about their best days on cycling’s biggest stage.

We hear about Greg LeMond’s near-death experience, Andy Schleck’s primal scream atop the Galibier, Eddy Merckx’s toughest Tour, and, of course, Lance Armstrong. One chapter is devoted to Armstrong’s reaction to the death of teammate Fabio Casartelli during the Tour in 1995. Another focuses on the duel between Armstrong and Jan Ullrich, and that scathing look the Austin cyclist gave him in 2003.If you want the book, post here and let me know why I should give it to you.
