That’s a wrap!

Please Be Kind to Cyclists will bid goodbye to Bike Month with a party from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday May 30 at Austin Beer Garden Brewing Co., 1305 W. Oltorf.

The party will include raffle prizes, live music, art activities for kids and a bicycle-themed silent art auction.

Proceeds will benefit Please Be Kind to Cyclists’ efforts to educate motorists and cyclists and increase safety for all road users.

The party is free, but a $10 donation gets you Please Be Kind to Cyclists membership, a Please Be Kind bumper sticker, a raffle ticket for the event, a Thunderbird Energetica energy bar and (for the first 100 registrants) a prize from Austin Beer Garden Brewing Co.

Please BE KIND to Cyclists is a local, non-profit organization founded by Al Bastidas in 2002 after a near-death cycling collision. The mission is to create a healthier community through raising awareness for safe cycling, education for both motorists and cyclists and aid to cyclist crash victims.
