I love that there’s a fitness class for everyone in Austin.

This weekend, Dharma Yoga East Side will host an all-level yoga workshop specifically for the lesbian-gay-bisexual-transgender community. “Queer & Trans Yoga with Jacoby Ballard” is scheduled for 4-7 p.m. Saturday at the studio, 3317 Manor Road. Cost is $35.

According to a class description, the workshop “builds community as we create space for each other and all that we hold in our bodies, hearts, partnerships and communities. We will basque in our fabulousness, and we will examine the pain that we have endured to be who we are.”

Ballard has been teaching Queer and Trans Yoga for six years in New York City and Brooklyn and is the founder of the Third Root Community Health Center. He came out as transgender during his teacher certification process.

Students can pre-register online at www.Dharma-Yoga.net. Space is limited to 40 participants.
