Fine Texas wine, indeed.

Four Hill Country wineries have teamed up tomorrow for a four-course dinner to highlight new vintages from their cellars. Bending Branch, Pedernales Cellars, Brennan Vineyards and Duchman Family Winery, where the dinner will be, are all part of a group of area winemakers, Texas Fine Wine, that wants to host an event to celebrate their success this year at continuing to produce top-notch wines from Texas grapes.

Wine enthusiasts, there are only a limited number of tickets left, so sign up fast here if you’re interested. Here’s the menu:

  • Duchman Vermentino 2012 with spice roasted local carrots, avocado, orange and cilantro
  • Brennan Lily 2012 with lobster with potato, Dijon aioli and arugula
  • Pedernales GSM 2012 with duck ragu, wild mush and gemelli pasta
  • Bending Branch Tannat with a selection of meat either grilled, braised or smoked

The winemakers will attend and speak at the 7 p.m. dinner, so brush up on your tasting skills to let them know what you think of the wine.

If you can’t make it to Duchman tomorrow, the winery is having a couple of other events during July. The first is a Fourth of July celebration with barbecue and $5 glasses of wine. On that Friday, the tasting room will be open from noon to 6 p.m.

The other is a jazz brunch on July 20, with four courses of light fare, including a pastry basket, a poblano crab quiche and a mixed green salad. Wine and other beverages aren’t included in the $25 tickets. Email candace@duchmanwines.com to make reservations (which are required to attend). And yes, the brunch will have live jazz music.
