Want to dig into the kitchens of Austin’s most noted female culinary professionals?

The Austin chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier International is hosting a kitchen sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Texas Farmers Market at Mueller, 4550 Mueller Blvd., to raise money for their scholarship program. You can find out more about the culinary garage sale, which will include gently used cookbooks, cookware, linens, china, flatware and more, at ldeiaustin.org.

On a sad note, Les Dames president Denice Woods, a chef and culinary instructor who worked and taught at restaurants and schools across the state, died on May 2, 2 1/2 years after being diagnosed with cancer. Her fellow Dames have scheduled a memorial in her honor a 6 p.m. July 7 at the Central Market North Lamar Cooking School.
