Print Austin 2015
The month-long celebration of all things fine art printmaking kicks off this weekend with a round of new exhibits and several events. All Print Austin happenings are free unless otherwise noted. Friday exhibit openings
“Bob Schneider and Terry Allen: Outside the Lines.” Two singer/songwriters who also have talents as visual artists. Allen and Schneider display their etchings, lithographs and collages. Opening 6 to 8 p.m. Through Feb. 10. Flatbed Press & Gallery, 2832 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

“PrintAustin: The Contemporary Print.” The signature exhibit of Print Austin gathers the work of 28 artists from around the country. Big Medium Gallery.
“Un-Modern Carlos.” Houston-based serigraphy artist Carlos Hernandez has designed and printed posters for such musicians as the Kills, Arcade Fire, Kings of Leon and Santana. Most recently, he was the official poster artist for the 2013 Austin City Limits Music Festival. Modern Rocks Gallery.
”Ins & Outs.” Screenprints by Austin-based design studio CogDut. Art Science Gallery.
”Prints from the Texas State University School of Art and Design.” WPA Bone Black Studio.

Wednesday exhibit opening
