“Send Off.” After three-and-a-half years in South Austin, indie gallery Grayduck hosts its last show before it relocates to East Austin early next year with a lively exhibit of work by many of the emerging artists it showcases. Opening: 7 to 10 p.m. Friday. Exhibit continues through Dec. 22. Grayduck Gallery, 608 W. Monroe St. (off South First Street). Free. www.grayduckgallery.com.

Friday and Saturday

“The Undoing of Nonet.” Modern dancemaker Kathy Dunn Hamrick debuts her latest work, “The Undoing of Nonet.” “I’m using the word ‘nonet’ multiple ways,” says Hamrick. “‘Nonet’ for nine dancers, ‘nonet’ for an organism or machine or a whatever with nine parts; ‘nonet’ as a name for this machine or organism or family or universe of nine parts; and ‘Nonet’ as a name for one person.”

Hamrick uses her expressive, atheltic style to create a dance that reveals “the tipping point in any situation or relationship and the eventual, unavoidable falling apart, the re-grouping and the falling apart.”

Hamrick’s nine dancers will be accompanied live by award-winning ensemble Line Upon Line Percussion, who will play Iannis Xenakis’s rhythmic “Okho” as well as Ben Isaacs’s whisper-quiet “Several Inflections.” 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 3 p.m. Saturday. Salvage Vanguard Theater, 2803 Manor Road. $12-$17. 512-934-1082. www.kdhdance.com.
