Hyde Park Bar & Grill’s barbecue broccoli isn’t quite as popular as its french fries, but it’s a healthy alternative that has won over diners.

ASK ADDIE

I went to Hyde Park Westgate recently and had the most amazing BBQ broccoli. Can you get the recipe from them? They just started making it. So delicious.

Although Hyde Park’s grilled broccoli likely won’t surpass the popularity of its buttermilk-battered french fries, the broccoli is a healthy substitute if you’re trying to cut back on calories when eating out.

Chris Turgeon, who took on the executive chef role earlier this year, shared the recipe for the side dish, one of his most popular additions to the menu.

The restaurant, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in September, has two locations: the recently rennovated original at 4206 Duval St. in Hyde Park (that’s the one with the 20-foot metal fork out front) and the other in the Westgate shopping center at 4521 Westgate Blvd. opened in 2006.
