How to find your way to the local fireworks displays
Catch the northern (and southern) lights
Though Austin has canceled its Fourth of July display this year because of drought conditions, fireworks can still be seen for local revelers willing to drive north or south.
Kyle
Fireworks show: 9:30 p.m. at the southwest corner of Kyle Parkway and Kohler's Crossing in the northwest part of the city.
No parking: No viewing from the nearby Plum Creek Golf Course, and parking lot will be closed to vehicles.
Parking: Around Hays school district's Performing Arts Center; at Kyle Parkway and Kohler's Crossing; in lots at the Kyle Crossing shopping center, just west of Interstate 35 off FM 1626.

Georgetown
Fireworks: 9:30 p.m. at San Gabriel Park, at North Austin Avenue and FM 971, just east of Interstate 35.
No parking: McMaster Fields parking lot; Parks and Recreation administration building parking lot at North College Street and W.L. Walden Drive.
Parking: Limited space in San Gabriel Park, including in lots at the show barn and the rodeo arena; lot at the former Albertson's on North Austin Avenue, accessible via Morrow Street or I-35. Attendees are encouraged to park at Georgetown High School and carpool to San Gabriel Park. Limited parking for people with disabilities available in designated areas in San Gabriel Park.
