Willie Nelson is known for being a country music outlaw, but people forget he used to sport a much more clean-cut look.
Way back before the Texas legend became famous for his annual Picnic, hippie braids, bandannas and marijuana, he was just another country singer with a great voice, a crew cut and a suit and tie.
A video posted to the “I Despise Pop Country” Facebook page on Friday showcases a 1962 Nelson performance that features a much different-looking Red-Headed Stranger.
A few things remain timeless, however: Nelson’s smooth croon and his appreciation for the songs of Ray Price.
