After a North Texas man’s Facebook post went viral last week, a community has banded together to help out a hardworking Rockwall man.

Andy Mitchell posted a selfie with a man named Justin Korva, a 20-year-old man who told him he walked 3 miles to work at Taco Casa every day — and then 3 miles back home again — in the Texas heat.

“To all the people that say they want to work but can't find a job or don't have a vehicle all I can say is you don't want it bad enough!” Mitchell wrote.

According to CBS News, members of the community saw Mitchell’s post and decided to help out Korva by pitching in to buy a car. A local pizza joint owner decided to put a donation box inside his restaurant and reportedly raised more than $5,500 in less than 48 hours. Then a sales manager at a local Toyota dealership heard the story and worked with his boss to reduce the price on a 2004 Toyota Camry — Korva’s new car. They even threw in a year’s worth of insurance payments, two years’ worth of oil changes and a $500 gift card to buy gas.

Pull out the tissues, because this is where it’ll touch your heart.

The members of the community who helped obtain the car presented it to Korva in front of Taco Casa a few days later.
