A pair of country music acts with Texas ties shared their reactions to the deadly mass shooting in Las Vegas on Twitter early Monday morning.
Late Sunday evening, shots broke out during singer Jason Aldean’s set at the Route 91 Harvest music festival. Local officials say at least 50 people were killed and more than 200 were injured during the shooting.
Both Maren Morris and The Raging Idiots had played the festival on Saturday night. Morris is from the Dallas area and had recently performed at the Texas State Fair.
Radio DJ Bobby Bones, who hosted his show in Austin before going national, shared his condolences on Twitter, adding that friends in the industry had reached out to him to share their experiences.
More than 30 acts performed at the three-day festival near the Mandalay Bay hotel. Aldean was the closing act.
