In case you forgot that Austinite/movie star/Oscar winner/Super Bowl-winner-congratulator Matthew McConaughey was a guest lecturer at the University of Texas — here, let Kelsey Whipple, a journalism PhD student, remind you.

McConaughey is a 1993 radio-television-film degree graduate of UT. He currently guest lectures at the university (completely pro bono, by the way). His tenure as a lecturer was first announced in 2016, with a class called “Advanced Producing: Script-to-Screen.” He mostly taught through video recorded lectures, but occasionally made an appearance...which means, sometimes, he’s got to take the elevator.
