Austin Pride parade, festival rescheduled due to weather, organizers say

The annual Austin Pride parade and festival have been rescheduled due to inclement weather expected as Hurricane Harvey approaches Texas, according to organizers.

An email sent to Pride volunteers Friday morning by Micah Andress, the organization’s vice president, said the decision was made as of 10 a.m. Friday.

“We tentatively have a date for the parade of September 16, and the Festival of October 21!” the email reads.

Organizers said to check the official Pride social media accounts for further updates.
