Austin Elevates, a weekend of art and music events, kicks off Friday.
The two-day event starts at 7 p.m. with the dedication of a mural by graffiti artist Alec Monopoly at Parlor & Yard (601 W. Sixth St.). The artist will appear to dedicate the wall. Rapper G-Eazy will play a private, guest list-only concert Friday night.
Listen to an interview with Thomas J. Henry:
Austin Elevates continues Saturday with a 7 p.m. concert at the Austin 360 Amphitheater at Circuit of the Americas. Performers will include Daddy Yankee, Kygo, DaBaby and 88Glam.
Some tickets are still available for $100-$500. A limited number of free tickets were made available to the public but are now sold out. Organizers say the weekend’s events benefit the SAFE Alliance, St. David’s Foundation and Superhero Kids. For more information, go to austinelevates.com.
