Austin jewelry designer Nina Berenato enjoyed the surprise of a lifetime this week when pop culture icon Beyoncé Knowles-Carter donned her custom face mask in her new music video for "Spirit," an original song inspired by the live-action remake of "The Lion King."

In her instagram stories, which have since expired, Berenato and her staff reacted to watching the video and seeing Queen Bey herself in their custom jewelry design.

"We created 10 of them, I'm assuming it's for her dancers," Berenato said in the instagram story, "but then Beyoncé is wearing one! Beyoncé is wearing one on her face! Literally!"

Berenato received the design request two weeks ago with a very strict deadline -- she needed to deliver 10 masks in just one day. But her team successfully pulled off the feat, shipped the jewelry overnight and the rest is history.

2 weeks ago, through my showroom @theshinysquirrel I was asked to make 10 custom face masks for an upcoming Beyonce video. I had one day to make them and somehow we pulled it off. We didn’t know if they were ever used, would ever be used. Tonight I saw the design worn in @beyonce new Lion King video & her dancers OMG - they look like total warriors in them!!! - #spiritmusicvideo - WOW! Speechless, heart thumping out of my chest. A day I’d never imagined I would see! #beyonce They are currently available for sale on my website.
