Add another distinction to Austin's resume.

Texas' capital recently earned a spot on a ranking of the "15 best cities in the United States" by Travel + Leisure's readers. The list is part of the "World's Best Awards 2019," the magazine's annual rankings of cities, hotels, airports and more.

According to the survey methodology, respondents rated city landmarks, culture, food, friendliness, shopping and value. These ratings are then averaged for a final score. Austin ranked No. 9 with a score of 81.31.

The only other Texas city on the list isn't far behind Austin. San Antonio ranked No. 11.
