Home renovation power couple Chip and Joanna Gaines were honored this week at Time Magazine's "100 Most Influential People in 2019" gala, where the celebrity they were most excited to meet was Martha Stewart.

Page Six reports that the Waco, Texas-based couple were met with blank stares from the domestic diva.

“We were so excited to meet Martha Stewart, but she didn’t have the faintest idea who we are, not a single clue," Chip said to the publication. "But we don’t mind at all, Joanna was so excited to meet Martha and so we asked someone to introduce us.

“Martha was very gracious and supportive, it was really wonderful moment for us to meet her. And my gosh doesn’t she look great!”

Stewart said later that she had heard of the couple's Magnolia empire and forthcoming television network, which will replace Discovery's DIY Network in 2020, but she did not recognize them.

"I had never met Chip and Joanna at all before, but their Magnolia magazine is published by my publisher Meredith," she said to Page Six, "and I know they have a lovely family and a TV station.”
