South by Southwest in Wednesday announced its final round of keynote and featured speakers .
Keynotes announced include award-winning Austin filmmaker PJ Raval and a keynote conversation between Spotify chief content officer Dawn Ostroff, Gimlet co-founder Matt Lieber and Anchor co-founder Michael Mignano.
Among the featured speakers revealed Wednesday include director and actress Jodie Foster; award-winning journalist Katie Couric; actress Kaitlyn Dever; actress Beanie Feldstein; entrepreneur and model Ashley Graham; journalist and author Malcolm Gladwell; writer and director Noah Hawley; actress Billie Lourd; and NBC News president Noah Oppenheim.
Foster has appeared in more than 40 films, directed four feature-length movies and won nearly 60 awards — including two Academy Awards, two BAFTA Awards, four Juniper Awards and three Golden Globes, as well as the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement. She will be in conversation with David Rogier, co-founder and CEO of MasterClass.
Raval, an Austin-based documentary filmmaker, was named one of Out Magazine’s “Out 100.” His credits include “Trinidad” (Showtime, LOGO) and “Before You Know It” (PBS). Raval’s recent film “Call Her Ganda” is an investigation into the case of Jennifer Laude, a trans woman in the Philippines who was murdered by a Marine from the United States.
Couric is a journalist and longtime advocate for cancer research. She is founded Katie Couric Media, which is actively involved in developing and producing a range of scripted and non-scripted projects. Katie Couric Media’s most recent project, “Getting There,” is a six-part web series for theSkimm that profiles well-known and highly accomplished women.
Graham is a model and entrepreneur and is currently the host of Lifetime’s "American Beauty Star," as well as her own podcast, "Pretty Big Deal."
Hawley, the creator and showrunner of “Fargo” and “Legion,” will be in conversation with Bryn Elise Sandberg on his career and making television (and film) in today’s fractured entertainment landscape.
