What do you do when your special someone isn't a fan of chocolate or roses? You get them some smoked meat with some Valentine's Day flair instead.

Bear Creek Smokehouse in Marshall, Texas put its own twist on the classic Valentine's Day gift of a dozen roses and created a bacon bouquet — rolled up bacon strips atop leafy stems and wrapped in paper.

Stacia Shoults originally saw the idea online and told her husband about it, ABC affiliate KLTV reports. Her husband Hunter Shoults immediately agreed that it would be a great fit for the smokehouse.

“We have the world’s best bacon and no one is trying to give a man a Valentine’s Day gift, so we thought we’d put those things together," Stacia Shoults told KLTV. "To our surprise, half of the orders we’ve gotten are actually for women."

Stacia Shoults and Hunter Shoults came up with the idea just last week. They ended up extending preorders until yesterday due to the bacon bouquet's popularity, according to the smokehouse's Facebook page.

"You can’t beat giving a rose that’s made out of bacon,” Hunter Shoults told KLTV.
