Fall temperatures are finally headed back to Central Texas this weekend, and despite the cloudy forecast, why not take the opportunity to get outside?

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is offering free admission to all Texas state parks on Sunday in honor of Vetera's Day.

Parks will be hosting various programs throughout the day, and camping and activity fees will still apply despite the free park entry.

There are plenty of state parks in the Austin area, including McKinney Falls State Park, Bastrop State Park, Lockhart State Park, Buescher State Park and Pedernales Falls State Park. You can find a map of Texas state parks on the TPWD website.
