People have been yelling "When did that get there?!" in Austin longer than you’d think.

Reddit user Meetybeefy posted a graphic to the news aggregation site, which is stamped as having been printed in the Statesman on Oct. 21, 1984, that shows the planned downtown projects set to "stretch [the] skyline."

And even 34 years ago, it seems, a skyline full of cranes was the status quo.
