Sanchez, from El Paso, has Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, better known as ALS. The night before his son’s ceremony, Sanchez’s breathing machine stopped working. The hospital staff got him a new machine just in time for him to make it to the ceremony for an emotional reunion with his son.

Alvord, Texas dad Jason Gayler walked his daughter Brittany to school on her very first day of school in kindergarten when she was 5 years old. CNN affiliate KFOR reported that when he found an old photo before her graduation, he and Brittany decided to re-create the moment on her last day of high school. Gayler told Buzzfeed he was “holding back tears” while he walked his daughter to school for the last time.

Sometimes, dads have to dish out tough love. Brad Howard, a Texas dad, threatened to chaperone his 17-year-old son at school after he kept receiving emails about Brad Jr.’s misbehavior in class. After he received one more email, Howard made good on his promise and showed up in his son’s classroom, Buzzfeed reported.

While your dad may not have gone viral this month, make sure to appreciate him on June 18.
