The Austin Food & Wine Alliance , the beneficiary of the Austin Food & Wine Festival that also hosts fundraiser and community events throughout the year, including a high school culinary conference earlier this year (above), is now accepting applications for $25,000 in grants that will be awarded to four culinary innovators in Central Texas.

Last year, a total of $20,000 went to Tecolote Farm, Argus Cidery and Connally High School’s culinary program, but this year, an additional $5,000 will be handed out to entrepreneurs, nonprofits or individuals who submit applications at austinfoodwinealliance.org/grants by Oct. 11.

Next year’s Austin Food & Wine Festival is scheduled for April 25-27.
