The much-loved pizzeria Bufalina (and its sister restaurant Bufalina Due) are reopening on Wednesday after being closed for 8 weeks.
Owner Steven Dilley says that both locations will open for takeout only starting May 6,from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at Bufalina (1519 E Cesar Chavez Street) and 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Due location (6555 Burnet Road), with contactless pickup for orders available via phone or the website. "We will be limiting the number of orders available so that our staff can maintain proper distancing measures while preparing food," Dilley says.
He added that the business has kept its head above water the past two months via retail sales of dough and sauce through Salt & Time and Farmhouse Delivery. The restaurant also recently created a "wine CSA" program that allows customers to sign up for a wine subscription. Later this week, you’ll be able to buy their wines directly through bufalinawine.com.
