Summer bummer: Folks are scalping Hamilton Pool reservations

In an effort to be known as the worst people in Austin, some folks are scalping reservations to Hamilton Pool Preserve for profit.

“There have been a handful of individuals who have decided to make reservations in mass. They've been trying to sell those reservations online for profits,” park supervisor Michael Brewster said to Fox 7 Austin.

The reservation system started in 2016. A standard, regular reservation to the popular watering hole is $11. Brewster says they have been showing up on Craigslist for up to $50.

Brewster notes they will be checking photo I.D. when folks come to the pool.
