In need of diapers? With the coronavirus pandemic, sometimes finding supplies can be difficult and as families face job loss, affording diapers also is more difficult.

On Friday, Austin Diaper Bank is giving away 15,000 diapers directly to families at its north Austin warehouse. Typically, Austin Diaper Bank distributes its diapers through local nonprofit organizations.

To receive diapers, go the the warehouse, 8711 Burnet Road, Building B, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday. Each child can get 25 diapers. The bank carries sizes 1-6.

People will be asked to stay in their cars and follow the signs. The diapers will be distributed to people in their cars, only.

"Diapers are a basic, essential need," said Austin Diaper Bank Executive Director Holly McDaniel in a press release. "Our mission is to provide diapers to families who need our help, including in times of crisis or when they’re experiencing hard times. With the community’s generosity, we’ll continue to provide diapers and, most importantly, hope."

Austin Diaper Bank is also asking for financial donations at this time to help it buy more diapers and wipes to help more families in its six-county service area. austindiapers.org
