Less than an hour after Olamaie announced that it would be closing its restaurant until May 1 due to concerns related to the coronavirus, popular Austin pizza restaurant group Via 313 announced it was changing the way it does business.

After a one-day break tomorrow, the restaurants will reopen Tuesday with a new service model. The three restaurant locations will serve dinner nightly from 5 to 11 p.m. The two trailer locations will remain open regular hours with some service modifications.

The local pizza mini-chain founded by Detroit brothers Brandon and Zane Hunt posted the following announcement:

All Via 313 Pizza Crew,

Better Living Through Pizza is more than just a motto at Via 313. It means looking out for each other. In good times and bad it serves as a guiding principle intended to help us make sure that everything we do betters the lives of the people that trust us. To provide them with a hot meal, a good job, or a place to spend the afternoon.

We believe that the best thing we can do for our community is to close all Via 313 restaurant locations tomorrow, Monday, March 16th, to allow us the opportunity to gather our thoughts and create a game plan for the coming weeks.

Beginning Tuesday, March 17th, all Via 313 restaurant locations will be open from 5pm-11pm Monday-Sunday, providing curbside service while closing our dining rooms to guarantee the safety of our guests, our team, and our community.

The Via 313 trailer locations will remain open on Monday and will continue to operate under normal hours thereafter. The trailers will be going to boxes only and texting customers when their food is ready to keep contact minimal.

The most important thing we can do is take care of each other. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope you’ll support us in moving forward with what we believe to be the best option for the health and well-being of the community.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at info@via313.com.

In love and pizza,

Via 313
