You know who’s great about making jokes about topics that might make most people skittish? Professional comedians. So, amidst the building anxiety around Coronavirus, it’s fitting that SXSW Comedy announce its stellar roster of comedians, some of whom might be perfect for the gallows humor required at such a time.

All SXSW badgeholders (Platinum, Interactive, Music, and Film) are allowed entrance to SXSW Comedy Festival events, where performers scheduled to appear include Bill Burr, Bob Odenkirk, Doug Benson, Hannibal Buress, Judd Apatow, Liza Treyger, Maggie Maye and many more.

Among the special programming at the comedy festival is a celebration of National Lampoon’s 50th anniversary, with two nights of National Lampoon Radio Hour: The Podcast, and a slates of performances featuring by Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre co-founder, Matt Besser, including a taping of his podcast improv4humans. Some sponsors and performers have pulled out of other festival appearances amidst Coronavirus concerns, so it’s important to keep an eye on the Statesman’s updated list of cancellations.

In addition to all badgeholders, SXSW Film wristband holders can attend SXSW Comedy showcases from March 13 through March 21 and SXSW Music wristband holders can gain access March 16 through March 21.
