Mueller Lake Park will be illuminated with water lanterns this weekend.

Water Lantern Festival will set sail at Mueller Lake Park on Saturday, March 7 from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The festival will feature local food trucks, vendors, music and lantern decorating from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and a water lantern launch from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., where lanterns will glow and float throughout Mueller Lake.

Water Lantern Festival tickets cost $25 for adults, $12 for kids aged 8-14 and free for children 7 and under.

Adult ticket prices will increase to $55 on the day of the event.

According to the festival’s website, a portion of all ticket sales will go to water.org, a nonprofit that brings clean water to those with no access to it.

Attendees are welcome to watch the festival from the outskirts of the park, but cannot participate without a ticket.

Tickets are available to purchase at the festival’s website and will include admission, a floating lantern, a drawstring bag, colored marker and one lantern.

"Water Lantern Festival is filled with fun, happiness, hope and great memories that you’ll cherish for a lifetime," organizers said on the website. "This is a family-friendly event that can be shared by everyone."
