Blue Starlite Drive-In has officially announced plans to bring a boutique drive-in movie theater to Round Rock on Feb 27.View this post on Instagram

The theater will be located at 800 Harrell Parkway, a parking lot inside Old Settlers Park near the Rock’N River water park. The lot will accommodate up to 50 cars.

Movie-goers can also take advantage of the drive-in’s close proximity to Salt Lick BBQ. The Texas barbecue joint partnered with Starlite to allow drive-in guests the ability to preorder and deliver barbecue meals from their Round Rock location if advance tickets are purchased.
The theater will also offer more traditional movie concessions including popcorn, candy, nachos and soda.
According to the theater’s website, the first showing is scheduled on its soft opening day, Feb. 27, celebrating the 35th anniversary of “Back To The Future” and including a special preshow featuring a “making of” documentary and extras.
Here’s a list of the current showings scheduled so far:
Feb 28. — The Goonies (7:30 p.m.)
Feb. 29 — Grease Sing-Along (7:30 p.m.)
March 6 — The Goonies (7:30 p.m.)
March 13 — Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (7:30 p.m.)
March 13 — Friday the 13th on Friday the 13th (10 p.m.)
Other showings planned are “Dazed and Confused,” “Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark,” and “The Breakfast Club.” Show times and dates have yet to be announced.
Tickets range from $8 to walk in and $25 to drive-in and are available to purchase here.
