An omakase meal for $29? It exists. Chef Michael Che, whose resume includes time at Japanese restaurants Soto and Kyoten Sushiko, is now serving an 11-course meal from his trailer Tsuke Honten.
The chef has already been serving his a la carte Asian dishes out of the truck at Hopsquad Brewing Co. (2307 Kramer Lane), with a to-go menu that included garlic chicken wings and chili prawns, but recently introduced his new service. And it’s proven a hit. The trailer booked all of its omakase dinner slots within hours of the reservations appearing online, so if you want to enjoy the city’s most affordable omakase in March, you best act quickly when those reservations become available online at the first of the month.
Tsuke Honten is open for dinner Wednesday-Friday and lunch and dinner on the weekends.
