Fathom Events (a.k.a. the people who bring you operas and such in move theaters) and Turner Classic Movies (a.k.a. the network more responsible than any other, in the pre-streaming era, for turning folks home with the flu into cineastes) are teaming up for the fourth year in a row to present the "TCM Big Screen Classics Series" in movie theaters nationwide. Here’s the list of movies that will be hitting the big screens in 2020.
"An American in Paris"
"The Color Purple"
"A League of Their Own"
"The Blues Brothers"
"Close Encounters of the Third Kind"
"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"
"Fiddler on the Roof"
All of the films will be shown via digital projection (no 35mm prints here), each presentation will also feature new pre-and post-film commentary from TCM hosts.
Tickets to all films in the 2020 TCM Big Screen Classics series will be available starting Dec. 6 at fathomevents.com as well as at participating movie theater box offices.
