Thanksgiving is arguably the most food-centric holiday in America. It’s also a ton of work and stress and often a mess. So why not let the pros do it? There’ll be no cleaning of dishes for you, and they’re probably better cooks than you anyhow. Below are some of the restaurants in the area serving special Thanksgiving Day meal and restaurants offering pre-sales for take-out meals.

The Hill Country destination restaurant will serve a three-course prix fixe meal that includes cider-brined roasted turkey with confit turkey leg hash, mashed Yukon Gold potatoes, mushroom casserole and more. The meal will be served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a cost of $70 per person and $20 for children 12 and under. The restaurant is also selling to-go packages that serve 10 people and include the cider-brined turkey, oyster mushroom casserole, cranberry and preserved orange sauce and more. Cost for those is $275.


Arlo Grey. 111 E. Cesar Chavez St. 512-478-2991, thelinehotel.com. The restaurant at the Line hotel serves both an a la carte Thanksgiving menu and a pre-order family-style menu starting at $65 a person from 3 to 10 p.m. Options include green bean almondine, tempura squash salad, roasted pheasant and more.


B.D. Riley’s Irish Pub in Mueller. 1905 Aldrich St. Suite 130. 512-580-3782, bdrileys.com. The Irish Pub will serve a Turkey Feast with all the trimmings for $15.99 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The restaurant’s full menu will also be available for purchase.


Brix and Ale. 1101 Woodlawn Ave. Georgetown. 737-444-2700, sheratongeorgetowntexas.com. The restaurant at the Sheraton Hotel in Georgetown will serve a Thanksgiving buffet from 11 a.m to 3 p.m. with options such as a carving station with ham, turkey breast and lamb, green bean casserole with foraged mushrooms and buttermilk whipped Yukon gold potatoes. Cost is $49 per adult, $25 for children ages five to 12 and free for children under 5.


Carillon. 1900 University Ave. 512-404- 3655, thecarillonrestaurant.com. The restaurant at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center serves a Thanksgiving buffet from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Options include smoked ribeye, sous-vide turkey breast, candied yams and more. Cost is $68, $30 for children.


Ciclo at the Four Seasons. 98 San Jacinto Blvd. 512-685- 8300, cicloatx.com. The Four Seasons' signature restaurant will serve a buffet from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. that features pumpkin butter sea bass, beef short rib with cauliflower leek puree, and carved ham with brown sugar-mustard glaze, among dozens of other items. Cost is $95 per adult and $45 per child ages 12 and under.


Geraldine’s. 605 Davis St. 512-476-4755, geraldinesaustin.com. The restaurant at Hotel Van Zandt serves a buffet from 3 to 9 p.m. that includes smoked brisket, roasted free-range turkey and salmon en croute, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and more Cost is $50 per person and $25 for children.


Goodall’s Kitchen. 1900 Rio Grande St. 512-495- 1800, goodallskitchen.com. The restaurant at Hotel Ella near Judges Hill serves a menu from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day that includes slow roasted turkey, smoked brisket, roasted fall squash and mini apple pies. Cost is $72 per person and $25 for kids 12 and under.


Hotel Granduca. 320 Loop 360. 512-306- 6400, granducaaustin.com. The hotel in West Austin will serve a Thanksgiving buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with options that include ham and turkey carving station, cornbread salad, pesto salmon over orzo Alfredo and more. Cost is $58 for adults and $27 for the kids buffet station.


Hotel ZaZa Austin’s Group Therapy. 400 Lavaca St. 512-542-9292, hotelzaza.com/austin. The restaurant at one of Austin’s newest hotels will serve a four-course prix-fixe meal with roasted beets, forest mushroom soup, smoked carved turkey plate with gravy, mashed potatoes and more. Cost is $60.


Hyatt Lost Pines. 575 Hyatt Lost Pines Road. 512-308-4950, lostpines.regency.hyatt.com. The resort near Bastrop will offer a carving station with roasted turkey and prime rib and more than 20 desserts. Cost for the buffet that runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. is $68 for adults, $34 for children between the ages of 6 and 12, and complimentary for children 5 years old and younger.


Hyde Park Bar & Grill. 4206 Duval St. 512-458- 3168; 4521 West Gate Blvd. 512-899-2700, hpbng.com. The two locations will serve Thanksgiving meals from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a menu that includes oven-roasted turkey breast, cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes and more. There’s also a vegetarian menu. Cost is $24.99 and $18.99 for vegetarian meals. There’s a special, unlisted price for children 10 and under.


J.W. Marriott. 110 E. Second St. 512-474-4777, marriott.com. The casual American restaurant Corner will serve from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The fixed menu includes smoked turkey, cornbread stuffing, pumpkin cake and more. Cost is $42 for adults and $18 per child. The more upscale OP Italian will also serve from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m, with a menu that includes choices such as butternut squash soup, herb-crusted lamb loin, heritage turkey and more. Cost is $60 per adult and $20 per child.


Lefty’s Brick Bar. 1813 E. Sixth St. 512-399-1927, arrivehotels.com/eastaustin. The casual food-and-drink operation at the Arrive Hotel will serve from 3 p.m. until late. The $10 plates include turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, parker house rolls, stuffing, green beans, and pumpkin pie bars.

The Houston-based steakhouse will serve a Thanksgiving meal from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with options including butternut squash soup, roasted turkey breast and green bean almondine. Cost is $45. The casual restaurant at the East Austin Hotel will serve an "Old School Turkey Dinner plate" with all the fixings, sides and pumpkin-pecan pie. Cost is $21 per person and $15 for children. The renovated classic in Salado serves a Thanksgiving buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with options that include roasted turkey breast with cranberry-orange relish, herb and garlic-crusted rib roast, hushpuppies with honey butter, and more. Cost is $45, $24 for children ages 6-12 and free for children 5 and under.


Stella San Jac. 310 E. Fifth St. 512-391-2333, stellasanjac.com. The restaurant inside the Westin downtown serves all day, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., with a menu built around fried turkey that also includes sides such as mashed sweet potatoes and roasted brussels sprouts with butternut squash. The beautiful restaurant on the Camp Lucy property in the Hill Country will serve a menu that includes options such as smoked carrots, slow-cooked turkey breast, bread pudding and more. Cost is $65 for adults and $30 for children.


Trace at the W Hotel Austin. 200 Lavaca St. 512-542- 3660, traceaustin.com. The hotel restaurant will serve a three-course Thanksgiving menu from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. with options including winter squash custard, apple cider glazed turkey, sticky toffee pudding and more. Cost is $65 per person.


Truluck's. 400 Colorado St. 512-482-9000; 10225 Research Blvd. Suite 4000. 512-794-8300, trulucks.com. The seafood and steakhouse will serve a three-course menu that includes lobster bisque, herb-roasted turkey and pumpkin pie. Cost is $45 for adults and $19 for children 12 and under.

Fresa’s. 1703 S. First St. 512-992-2946, fresaschicken.com. The Mexican restaurant will sell complete Thanksgiving dinners for pre-order and pick-up. The meal serving 8-10 people includes roasted turkey with three sides and cranberry sauce and chorizo stuffing. Those cost $285. A smaller version serving four-six people costs $185. Sandra Bullock’s West End cafe is selling to-go Thanksgiving meals for 10, with all items priced individually, including thyme-rubbed roast airline turkey breast with gravy ($50), green bean almondine ($20), grilled sweet potatoes ($22), pumpkin pie ($25) and more.
