Stephen Mace grew up in Lockhart, so the post oak smoke must run in his veins. After a 10-year legal career, the longtime backyard cook decided to open his own barbecue trailer.


He recently opened Queue Barbecue (the name a nod to his British heritage and Austinites’ love of a line) at 6218 Brodie Lane. The operation sources Wagyu and prime beef and heritage pig breeds to serve the holy trinity of brisket, ribs and sausage, along with white meats and a selection of tacos and sandwiches like brisket mac and cheese


Queue is open 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday-Friday; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Hours may vary due to selling out.
