It’s gonna be a beautiful weekend to dig into some of the best soul food in Austin. Luckily, the Soul Food Truck Fest is here for you. Taking place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Huston-Tillotson University in East Austin (900 Chicon St.), the afternoon presented by and benefiting the Austin Revitalization Authority, will feature everything from barbecue to vegetarian soul food. Participating trucks include former winners My Granny’s Kitchen and Emoji’s Grilled Cheese, along with a dozen other competitors. Access to the event at 1 p.m. costs $10 and free for kids 12 and under and does not include food; but for $40 you can buy a Judges Ticket and get access at 11 a.m. and food from all 15 food trucks. Tickets can be purchased in advance online.
