F1 fans who are all revved up for the big race just outside of Austin in a couple of weekends have extra reason to get excited. The day before the Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas, ESPN hosts the ESPN Pit Lane at Banger’s Sausage House & Beer Garden — with live music, craft beer, games including slot car races and more.
On Nov. 2, the day of the qualifying race at the track, the ESPN Pit Lane runs all day and has a whole host of activities planned for anyone who wants to attend.
One of the biggest highlights of the afternoon will no doubt be “up-close access to an official Aston Martin Red Bull Formula 1 Car and Pixar’s life-size Lightning McQueen replica from the animated feature film ’Cars,’” according to a news release. But that’s not all.
While enjoying live music performances throughout the day — from the likes of local acts such as Leopold and His Fiction, Mobley, and Black Pistol Fire — you’ll also be able to participate in simulated races via a Formula 1 PS4 game station, as well as the slot car race, cornhole and other games that will have pretty cool prizes if you win. Winners, for example, can snag vouchers for free bites from Banger’s and tickets to that night’s F1 concert at the track by Grammy Award-winning icon Pink.
Oh, and you know all the fanfare that surrounds the F1 victors after each Grand Prix? Feel a little bit of that yourself via a winner’ podium where you can raise the championship trophy, official F1 team flags and even jumbo inflatable champagne bottles. (Winners always get champagne.)
Don’t be worried about missing any of the action on the COTA track, either. Although Saturday isn’t the day of the main race, the F1 drivers will still be having a practice and a qualifier that determines the order they’ll race in the next day. And you can watch all of it on big-screen TVs throughout Banger’s expansive venue.

There will be plenty of action at the Rainey Street beer bar, too. Expect celebrity appearances and special guests from ESPN, Good Morning America, and KVUE-TV talent, along with popular local influencers. Banger’s is located at 79 Rainey St.
The Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix airs live on ABC at 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 3.
