Over the past few years, pop artist Kady Rain has proved her prowess as a purveyor of perfect party pop with dance floor glitter bombs like "R.A.D. Moves" and "All I Ever Wanted."

Her newest single, "Lovestruck" is a candy synth ode to summer love.

Lovestruck by Kady Rain

"Picture this: you're in a drop top convertible with the love of your life. It may or may not be Jonathan Taylor Thomas. Anyway, you're driving out in the middle of nowhere on the way to the forest, the beach, a huge party, the motel, wherever is calling you. And you've never felt so in love in your life. That's what "Lovestruck" is all about. It's an upbeat, carefree summer jam that will leave you feeling lighter than before you heard it," Rain says.

The song was co-written by Kady Rain, Shannon Brielle Price and Ben Bazzrea and it features the synthesizer stylings of Belcurve's Matt Parmenter.

As she ramps up to her debut Austin City Limits Festival performance in October, Rain is running a Kickstarter to release this single and one more on colored vinyl. Your next chance to catch her live is at Empire Control Room on Sept. 25.
