Here's what's happening in the Live Music Capital of the World this week.

Saturday: Eso Es at Mohawk outdoor. Margin Walker Presents hosts a six-band bash centered around Latinx artists who are pushing boundaries on indie music. Chill-wave outfit Neon Indian, led by Mexican-born artist Alan Palomo, tops a roster that includes the dreamy indie-pop of Honduran American artist Lorely Rodriguez, aka Empress Of, and Cuban American rapper La Goony Chonga. Local Selena tribute act Bidi Bidi Banda, Dallas’ Luna Luna and the Peligrosa DJs round out the bill. Beyond music, the event will feature live airbrushing, local vendors, Tex-Mex street food and “a 1990s suburban mall-inspired photo booth.” The mini-festival is traveling through Texas with dates in Houston, Dallas and San Antonio. In the wake of the recent mass shooting in El Paso, Margin Walker has pledged to donate all proceeds from the tour to the El Paso Community Foundation. $29.50-$35. 912 Red River St. — D.S.S.

Sunday: ABGB sixth anniversary with Derailers, Nightowls. Though similar acronym-wise to New York’s legendary punk dive CBGB, the Austin Beer Garden & Brewery is a totally different vibe, combining outdoor tables under trees with a welcoming indoor space that has become one of this decade’s best additions to the Austin live music scene. They’ll celebrate six years with an all-day bash featuring sets from country lifers the Derailers (2:30 p.m.) and classic pop-soul ensemble the Nightowls (6:30 p.m.), plus the debut of ABGB staffers' new band Who Is Nerd (8:45 p.m.). Free. Noon. 1305 W. Oltorf St. — P.B.

Monday: Bun B’s Backyard BBQ at Little Darlin’. You could spend Labor Day toiling over hot coals to prove your grill-master mettle, or you could let chef Phillip Speer handle the meat while you lean back and take in tunes from a Houston rap titan. Speer, a longtime Austin chef and multiple-time James Beard Awards semifinalist, will be cooking three whole goats at a free party hosted by Music Is On the Menu at the South Austin watering hole. In addition to the UGK rapper, the musical bill includes Big Arch, the Peligrosa DJs and DJ Gracie Chavez. The party is free but subject to venue capacity. An online donation of $10 or more secures entry until 4 p.m. A portion of proceeds benefit the SIMS Foundation. Gates at noon. 6507 Circle South Road. — D.S.S.

Wednesday: Ken Burns’ “Country Music” sneak preview at ACL Live. The latest project from the renowned documentary filmmaker is a 16-hour marathon that will air Sept. 15-18 and Sept. 22-25 on PBS stations nationwide. Austin's local affiliate, KLRU, offers this event with excerpts plus a panel discussion about the making of the series. Burns won’t be there, but key collaborators Dayton Duncan and Julie Dunfey will attend, as will former Austinite and University of Texas scholar Bill C. Malone, whose landmark book “Country Music USA” was essential to the series’ content. Moderating the panel will be Terry Lickona, executive director of “Austin City Limits”; the show contributed footage to the series. Also on hand for the discussion will be Asleep at the Wheel’s Ray Benson, with longtime KOKE-FM radio personality Bob Cole serving as host and musician Sarah Gayle Meech performing. Admission is free but requires an RSVP at 6:30 p.m. 310 Willie Nelson Blvd. — P.B.

Thursday: Daniel Caesar at ACL Live. With a golden voice and a knack for introspective love songs that cut to the heart, the 24-year-old Toronto crooner shot to stardom on the strength of his 2017 debut album, “Freudian.” His new album, “Case Study 01,” is a gorgeous platter that includes collabs with Pharrell Williams, Brandy and John Mayer. In the post-Weeknd era of R&B, many singers adopt an icy vibe that easily translates to trap club jams, but Caesar’s songs have a rich warmth that echoes D’Angelo’s golden era of neo-soul. Jamaican artist Koffee opens. $29.50-$127.50 6:30 p.m. doors. 310 Willie Nelson Blvd. — D.S.S.
