Movies in the Wild: "Some Like It Hot." Make the end of summer a lot cooler with the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center's outdoor cinema series, presented in collaboration with Alamo Drafthouse. Pack a blanket or enjoy the soft grass of the Family Garden Play Lawn and watch fun feature films under the open sky at dusk, starting with the Tony Curtis and Marilyn Monroe comedy "Some Like It Hot." IPA Day with Pinthouse Pizza. One of the most popular beer styles today is the IPA, whether it's a West Coast version, an East Coast version or some variant in between. Pay It Forward with Daniel Curtis. The ninth annual benefit for the Lone Star Paralysis Foundation and the Easterseals of Central Texas will feature 20 of the city’s most celebrated restaurants, including the Carillon, Sixth and Waller, Geraldine’s, Barley Swine, Jack Allen’s Kitchen, Ciclo and Loro. Enjoy both bites and sips while listening to local "browngrass" band Sour Bridges. There will also be live and silent auctions throughout the night. So You Want to Xeriscape? The Austin Daylily Society's monthly meeting serves as the organization's return from summer break. There will be a presentation on Xeriscaping from certified arborist Marie Knipfer.
